Cornwall's Most Beautiful Places to Visit
We've selected ten of Cornwall's most beautiful and interesting places to visit in 2022
11. Minack theatre
Perched in a vertiginous position above the Atlantic and carved into the rising cliffs, the views from the Minack Theatre are world-renowned. The theatre was created by Rowena Cade and the first performance was staged here in August 1932.
12. Saint Michael’s Mount
Rising magnificently out of the sea, St Michael's Mount is a tidal island in Mount's Bay linked to the town of Marazion by a man-made causeway. A medieval castle and chapel which sit atop the mount have been home to the St Aubyn family since the 1650s. Originally the site of a Benedictine chapel, it is believed that the castle dates back to the 14th-century. The harbour has a handful of shops and eateries and the beautiful sub-tropical castle gardens are a tranquil place to take in the views.
The romantic and picturesque village of Boscastle on the north coast of Cornwall was once home to both busy fishing and stoneworking trades. The village sits high above the harbour and is flanked by a rugged and rocky coastline, providing perfect inspiration for creative artists and writers.
Looe is one of the most charming fishing villages in Cornwall and has a bustling fishing port with fishermen bringing in their catches daily. The distinctive houses in the village traditionally had their living areas upstairs due to the very common floods in the town.
15. The Lost Gardens of Heligan
The Lost Gardens of Heligan is world-renowned and one of the most popular botanical gardens in England. The gardens are typical of the 19th century Gardenesque style whose design encourages gardens to be recognisable as works of art.
