Nestled in a medieval deer-park, Knole is vast, complex and full of hidden treasures. Originally an Archbishop’s palace, the house passed through royal hands to the Sackville family. Inside, art lovers can admire the works of Reynolds, Gainsborough and Van Dyck whilst textile enthusiasts can marvel at 17th century tapestries.
Outside, within the 1000 acre park, the 350 strong herd of wild deer are a magnificent sight, whilst the walking trails are well worth exploring. The Bookshop and Café offer a place to unwind and recharge after a day of exploration.
Very impressed with service and quality of book. ★★★★★
