From Regent Street’s angels to Covent Garden’s piazza, here’s where to see London’s Christmas lights in 2026. Our free guide helps you plan the evening.

1. Marylebone High Street

A good place to start. The village-style shops and cafés are made for an unhurried wander. Switch-on date to be confirmed.

2. Oxford Street

Lights stretch above the crowds on London’s busiest shopping street. Look in at the department store windows, then duck into the calmer side streets of Marylebone.

3. New Bond Street

The luxury boutiques put real effort into their windows. Walk the length of it, then drift into Mayfair’s side streets.

4. Regent Street

The curve of the street and its grand façades do half the work. Walk towards Piccadilly Circus under the lights, then turn off into Carnaby Street.

5. Carnaby Street

Brighter and more irreverent than its neighbours, with independent brands and food around Kingly Court. It pairs naturally with Regent Street.

6.  The Churchill Arms

A Kensington pub with its exterior buried in trees and thousands of lights. Admire it from the pavement, then go in for a drink.

7. Leadenhall Market

Victorian arcades hung with garlands, and a big tree under the central atrium. Look out for the light tunnel in Beehive Passage, and stay for a pint in one of the market’s pubs.

8. Covent Garden

The piazza and Market Building feel best once it’s dark. Take your time here, then follow the streets north to Seven Dials.

9. Seven Dials

Seven streets meet at a sundial pillar, with cafés, pubs and theatres all around. A quieter place to end the evening.
