The Fifteenth Century Bookshop is an incredible building at the top of Lewes High Street. The bookshop is housed in a fascinating, 15th Century, beamed building. The outside has recently undergone a sensitive renovation, in keeping with the traditions of its history. Their large stock of books can be browsed on the ground floor where they are arranged in sections within the natural contours of the building.
Book-lovers and browsers will find a paradise in this shop where the constantly changing stock ensures that every visit reveals new treasures. This is the 20th anniversary of the owner, Susan Mirabaud, taking over the shop and a lifetime’s interest and experience in books of all kinds enables her to help with all sorts of “booky” enquiries.
What a great book. It's small enough to carry around and keep in the glove-box of the car. We've tried a few of the places and found some of our new favorite places to eat and visit. Would recommend.
I bought a couple of these as Christmas Table presents and ended up having to keep one as it was packed full of excellent recommendations. Ours lives in the car and is great for days out. So great that I've just bought the Kent one too!
Love this book! Its beautifully done, with nice photos, useful info, and gives so many great ideas of things to do and places to visit. We bought it for ourselves and have bought it as gifts for others. Really recommend!
