The Tulip Tree tea room and gift shop in Chiddingstone is reputedly the oldest working shop in the UK, dating back to 1453. Situated in the converted coach house, the interior features a beautiful counter, surrounded by white washed bricks and industrial pendant lights which hang from beneath the beams.
The tea rooms also feature a beautifully refurbished garden, serving up homemade breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas outside on warm days. From scones, meringues and brownies to wonderful creative cake creations, they additionally host a monthly themed pop-up restaurant in the evening.
This book arrived this week, and I have already planned many trips from it! It's fantastic! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for reasonably priced food stops of all varieties! ★★★★★
What a great book. It's small enough to carry around and keep in the glove-box of the car. We've tried a few of the places and found some of our new favorite places to eat and visit. Would recommend.
My new favourite book & what a great book. I bought 2. One for me and one for my best friend to enjoy. Beautifully photographed and with clear information. Everyone's commented on it and I love planning my next visit to a new tea room or pub etc. A joy.
