Frequently Asked Questions

We have answered a few of the most commonly asked questions below…

How big are the books?

If you are wondering what the books look like, we have taken a few photos which you can see here. The books are A5 and each one contains 250 pages. They are printed on premium, glossy paper from sustainable sources.

Where can I see a preview?

Are your books available in bookshops or from Amazon?

For now, our books are exclusively available from our website.

Where are your books printed?

Our books are printed in England on FSC certified paper sourced from responsible providers. We have chosen Royal Mail for the delivery of our books, believing that utilising postal services is more environmentally friendly than relying on delivery vans. Additionally, we employ eco-friendly packaging in our efforts.

How do you choose the places you reccomend?

You may wonder how we decide which places to feature in our guides. We do our research and speak to the people who live there, we believe there is nothing better than local knowledge and we back this up by visiting each place ourselves to experience each one and to take our own photos.

Do the businesses pay to be featured?

None of the businesses we recommend have paid to be included. We want people to be able to trust that our recommendations are just that. We think this honesty and integrity is a really important part of what we are trying to do. Every business that we recommend has been researched and invited. Each business appears on our site and in our travel guides for free.

Who takes the photography?

We are passionate photographers and take all our own photography. We travel and visit unannounced and make every recommendation based on our own experience and opinions. We want to show a real and genuine reflection of what we experienced when we visited a business. We also feature photographs from a few of our favourite photographers.

Can I return the book if I don’t like it?

Yes, we have a no quibble 14 day return policy on our printed books. Send us an email with your order number to info@bestofengland.com and we will get back to you. We don’t offer refunds on ebooks.
