The Pheasant Hotel, Harome

About

Exuding a timeless elegance that wouldn’t look out of place in a glossy magazine, The Pheasant Hotel has all the hallmarks of a luxurious country house. From its beautiful bucolic setting to the antique furnishings and roaring log fires, this is exactly the kind of place you dream of when planning an escape in the Yorkshire countryside. Formerly Harome’s blacksmith, village shop and barns, The Pheasant has a fascinating history that can be felt coursing through the walls. Liam McDonnell and his team place an emphasis on relaxation and top-class dining, and you’re guaranteed to leave feeling like a new person.

Dining

Notching up a very worthy 2 AA Rosettes, delivered by Vincenzo Raffone, dining at The Pheasant is a culinary experience that needs to be savoured. And no less impressive is the choice of dining spaces where you can feast on the likes of pan seared monkfish or delicately poached trout. While the light-filled conservatory and waterside terrace invite you to relax among a scenic backdrop, the dining room and lounge pose the perfect indoor setting.

Rooms

Keeping in style with the hotel’s country feel, each of the 16 bedrooms at The Pheasant are individually styled in elegant wallpaper, sumptuous fabrics and tasteful artwork. While 12 of the rooms are spread throughout the main building, a further four can be found in the courtyard, including two family and dog friendly suites.
